Further development of the risk assessment instruments RADAR-iTE and RADAR-right for the detention context

Project date range: 01.09.2022 - 31.08.2024

Description

The Centre for Criminology (Kriminologische Zentralstelle – KrimZ) is part of a research consortium headed by the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) which is evolving the risk assessment instruments RADAR-iTE and RADAR-right for persons from the Islamist and right-wing extremist spectrum, who are known to the police and classified as potentially violent persons, for the detention context. The adapted instrument versions will be used to prioritize islamists and right-wing extremists taking into account risk and protective factors of current or past incarcerations with respect to committing severe, politically motivated acts of extremist violence.

The project is carried out with the collaboration of the Ministry of Justice and the Prison Service of North Rhine-Westphalia as associated partners.
